Raffles International College Kuala Lumpur 22nd Graduation – Surreal

by Steven Leong on Oct.16, 2009, under Events

“Never say Never”, so goes the famous. Well, I said “Never” when I saw the latest stage design and layout by Raffles International College Kuala Lumpur for their latest graduation, themed, “Surreal”.

Normally, having the judges table sandwiched right between the photographer’s or media stand and the runway spells trouble with a capital T to photographers; and the runway was black, completely utterly black and as usual, lights looked rather minimal to support the runway but as things turned out, Raffles has got everything worked out to perfection.

The height of the photographer’s stand was just enough for an average Asian Male to shoot right over the tops of the heads of the average-height judges; the minimal lights were minimal but just enough to light the model on their way from the backstage to the end of the runway. And did I mention they had “hairlights” set-up too? Haha… really, really lovely.

Of course, just like previous graduations, this graduation would see students from Interactive Media, Industrial Design, Visual Arts, Fashion Marketing as well as Fashion Marketing showcasing their work.

Now… less talk… here comes the photos. ;-)
