It was my first time at the Plenary Hall in KL Convention Center and it was the first official shoot for my then newly acquired camera. Neither did I know anything about the nature of the performance, I just got a message from the fellow photographer that asked me if I’d shoot this for free. I did not hesitate nor ask any questions and just said, “Yes.”.
So… there I was, a bit excited and also a bit worried if I can actually shoot this properly.
And here I am now, 2yr+ later still reminiscing about this wonderful sign-language musical drama, Profound Parental Love. Dusted off the old DVD that contained the original files from the shoot today… found a few gems that I missed, reprocessed them and here you are.
To date, this is still one of my most memorable stage performance shoots and probably the most memorable stage performance that I had the opportunity to watch. River dance was spectacular… but Profound Parental Love was moving.
